Andrew + Mackenzie

Mackenzie and I recently traveled to Scotland together, where we drank lots of tea and talked about Jesus a lot – it’s pretty hard to not be friends with someone after that. She’s marrying Andrew in a few months, and they needed some photos for their invitations. So we squeezed in a mini session on a kind of rainy afternoon between our getting back from Scotland and my leaving again for Kenya.

Exciting things are happening, friends. Stay tuned for plenty more beauty and joy.  : )

I love these four. (Five, if you count the handsome fellow in that last photo.) They’re some of my family’s dearest friends and some of my little business’ most loyal clients. We took these a couple months ago, to celebrate Celia turning 2 years old and Lucy hitting 6 months.

Sorry I’ve gotten so behind on posting sessions – junior year is completed, and I am excited to finally focus back on photography. From the looks of it, this summer is going to be filled to the brim with blessings – and I don’t just mean eucharisteo  : )

Grace and Peace and Happy Tuesday, friends.

Spring is here, and so are the Seniors.

Some of my friends at school have been asking me if I took the photos for these posters which are now hopping up around campus (and if that third one is of me) and the answer is Yes I Did. Except for the third one, which my beautiful sister Jo took of me. (Thanks again, J!)

I designed these for our Campus Ministry office, to promote an upcoming, two-part event for the women on campus. The theme is “best friends,” and our ministers will be exploring what a practical, daily, intimate relationship with our King can look like. It will be wonderful, and chapel credit will be bestowed, so all the Lipscomb ladies should plan to be there! It will be March 3rd and 10th at 7 pm – keep an eye out for an email with more info!

Thank you for asking me to do this, Caroline and Keela. I like working with you, and I love being friends.

Such a great family. Very creative, as you can see in those first photos, and very fun, as you can see in those last ones. Plus, they all treat one another with great love and respect – I noticed it in just the short hour we spent together. It’s a beautiful thing to get to see and to photograph.

Thanks for being wonderful, Blues! Hope your 2014 is off to a great start  : )

They’re one of my favorite couples around.

I had been wanting to take a couple to a tree lot when Keela asked for a mini Christmas card session. And oh, we had fun. It’s days like this one that keep me loving portraits. Andrew and Keela – thank you for being so fun and easy to shoot and so, so encouraging the last few weeks. I love you two and hope your second Christmas as man & wife is merry and bright.

In other news – less than 24 hours until I get to watch It’s A Wonderful Life. They don’t call it the most wonderful time of the year for nothing.

…make sure you double check which state park you’re meeting your clients at before you drive two hours to the wrong one. That’s all I’m going to say about that.

I have been working with Carrie and Adam since they were expecting Eden, and last month I got to meet the rest of their family. We caught the last of the autumn colors and had lots of fun.

Thank you for asking me to do these, Ms. Patti! You are such a good friend to me. I hope these pictures help with Christmas cards this year.   : )

Emma & Tyler

Oh I like these two. What is it about retrofabulous young women and their suspender-wearing husbands?

Mrs. Emma Litton is the vintage blogger behind The Fiercest Lilliputian. Her younger sister Sarah is one of my dearest friends (see photos of them together here!), and she gave Emma a Mr & Mrs session for her birthday this year – which also kind of felt like a half-birthday present for me, too.

Emma. Tyler. You two are a dream to photograph. I know I keep saying that – but working with creative people like you is what keeps me creative myself. And it keeps me loving what I do. Thank you for working with me and inspiring me. You can ask me for photos aaaaanytime.  : )

I love this family. Dana and Lacy are some of my parents’ closest friends, and their girls are three of the prettiest and classiest young ladies around. They also wear great colors without their photographer having to tell them anything, which is always a treat.

Thanks for sprucing up my portfolio, Janssens, and thank you for being so patient as I took my sweet time getting these edited. It’s Crazy Season! : )

This very talented friend of mine is an Up & Coming Musician, and the best part of this shoot was the mini concert I got during the whole thing. Please visit her facebook page to share in my good fortune.

Rachael – I’m so thankful that these photos gave us a reason to reconnect. Every moment with you is a blessing, and I can’t decide if your face, your heart, or your voice is more beautiful. Thank you for being my friend  : )
