I love these four. (Five, if you count the handsome fellow in that last photo.) They’re some of my family’s dearest friends and some of my little business’ most loyal clients. We took these a couple months ago, to celebrate Celia turning 2 years old and Lucy hitting 6 months.

Sorry I’ve gotten so behind on posting sessions – junior year is completed, and I am excited to finally focus back on photography. From the looks of it, this summer is going to be filled to the brim with blessings – and I don’t just mean eucharisteo  : )

Grace and Peace and Happy Tuesday, friends.

Such a great family. Very creative, as you can see in those first photos, and very fun, as you can see in those last ones. Plus, they all treat one another with great love and respect – I noticed it in just the short hour we spent together. It’s a beautiful thing to get to see and to photograph.

Thanks for being wonderful, Blues! Hope your 2014 is off to a great start  : )

…make sure you double check which state park you’re meeting your clients at before you drive two hours to the wrong one. That’s all I’m going to say about that.

I have been working with Carrie and Adam since they were expecting Eden, and last month I got to meet the rest of their family. We caught the last of the autumn colors and had lots of fun.

Thank you for asking me to do these, Ms. Patti! You are such a good friend to me. I hope these pictures help with Christmas cards this year.   : )

I love this family. Dana and Lacy are some of my parents’ closest friends, and their girls are three of the prettiest and classiest young ladies around. They also wear great colors without their photographer having to tell them anything, which is always a treat.

Thanks for sprucing up my portfolio, Janssens, and thank you for being so patient as I took my sweet time getting these edited. It’s Crazy Season! : )

I love getting to photograph this family’s story.

It feels like I’ve known Jeff and Natasha for forever, and I’ve been acting as their “Official” Family Photographer since they were expecting Celia. And now they have not one, but two of the prettiest little girls around.

Jeff and Natasha – twenty years ago, our family looked a lot like yours does now. Mom, Dad, two tiny girls, and a yellow lab. You’ve got a lot to look forward to.  : )

Meet Sarah and Emma. Yes, they are sisters; but no, they are not twins; and yes, they are in fact real.

Sarah is commonly known around campus as either The Girl Who Dresses Like She’s From the 40’s or The Red Lipstick Girl, but I get the pleasure of calling her one of my dearest friends. (And if you don’t believe that she always looks this fabulous, you can take a walk down memory lane, to this post I made over a year ago.)

Her sister Emma is the vintage blogger behind The Fiercest Lilliputian. If it’s been awhile since you cyberstalked/developed a healthy girlcrush on someone, well….you’re welcome. Only girlcrushes though, fellas – she’s married!

My sister Jo is not pictured, but she is the last fourth of this Sister collaboration – Jo did Emma and Sarah’s hair and makeup. [APPLAUSE] She’s also the one who suggested this shoot, as a portfolio swap for both of us. That was her Bright Idea – mine was asking Sarah to be our model, and Sarah’s was inviting her sister to join – confirming once and for all that Sisters were one of God’s very best ideas. This is Jo’s facebook page, if you’re interested in a haircut (: Sarah and Emma, thank you, thank you, thank you for doing this for us!

In other news, I’m getting ready to leave town for a couple weeks, but I think I’ve learned a new trick that will keep me on schedule with Eu. Tues! I know you were worried. Enjoy the rest of your Tuesday. (:

This is Celia, to whom I am the honorary Aunt Shelb, and she’s a year old now.

It’s been so fun to take pictures of this little girl, starting from when she was a little bump, to when she was six months old, to her first birthday party last month.

Celia is my first Toddling Subject, and together we learned that walking is fun, but sometimes hard, and always hard to focus on at f/2.8. But Cheerios are excellent distracters, and parents are excellent helper-back-upers.

Pinch and Tash — thanks for having the faith to squeeze in a shoot between a long nap and the rain! And also for producing this little girl.  : )

(And in case anyone can’t tell from the few shots of Natasha – Celia is getting a Little Something in August!!)

the Kendricks

What an unexpected little treat to get to take some pictures of Carly (the same Carly from the Tower window) and her brothers on Wednesday. I know what you’re thinking – and the answer is Yes. Blake and Tyler’s legs actually are longer in real life.

Thank you, Kendricks! Love you guys.

Celia

I took maternity pictures for these long-time family friends back in November, and yesterday I got to take the 6 months for their sweet baby Celia. We went to the same locations and used some of the same props. What a joy it is to watch this family’s story unfold, and what an honor it is to get to help them tell it through my pictures.

Love you guys.  🙂

the Sessions’ session

This little man is the bump under the B, O, & Y Scrabble letters at the top of my page. His parents were my first maternity shoot, back in September, and now Cale is my first baby shoot! The Sessions are dear friends, and it’s such a joy to photograph them. We almost had to raincheck, but instead God gave us perfect light.

Love you three!
