As if the day wasn’t already perfect enough, the wedding party also had to look like this. I still can’t decide if I’m more excited about the three vintage wedding dresses or the suspenders. Or Amaris in general.

I sure do love my job. Some of the fun details from the wedding are right here, and there is still much more to come!

It was a blessing just to attend this wedding  – it was so personal, so beautiful, and so fun. Getting to photograph it was like Sugar On Top.

These are just the details – lots more to come of the wedding party, ceremony, and reception. I just have to edit them first : )

Rex & Amaris – for the hundredth time, thank you for asking me to be a part of your special day. I hope married life is treating you well, and I hope you’re planning a visit to Nashville soon!

congratulations, Rex & Amaris

and Happy Honeymooning (:

Yesterday was my first wedding to photograph all by myself. The groom is a dear friend, and I am looking forward to better knowing his beautiful bride, Amaris. I think I had the easiest job of anyone there, because the day was seriously perfect – maybe the most beautiful, simple, and personal wedding I’ve ever attended. So much to share, but I will contain myself until the rest of the pictures are ready.

I love you two. Thank you, thank you, thank you for letting me be a part of your day.

Congratulations to these lovely newlyweds! Mary took me up on my 20% off deal back in April, and asked me to take some pictures of her and her husband, and her dog the day after their wedding. Her dog’s name is Brownie, so naturally I couldn’t refuse.

Shout out to my sister Jo Smith, who fixed Mary’s hair so well that it lasted all through the next day, and to the Maid of Honor Leslie for letting us use her backyard, and even turning on the impressive birdbath/fountain for us!

Happy marriage, Mary and Dylan.  : )

Not me. Don’t let the watermark fool you. I was just the much glorified, last minute Extra Assistant to The Katie Mosley. These are just a few favorites that I snagged between not having a flash and not having a zoom lens.  : )

Congrats to the happy couple, and thank you, thank you, thank you to Katie and Erin for letting me tag along!

thank you, Erin Thacker Photography!

First order of business: to give full credit to Erin Thacker Photography for this wedding! Erin photographed this wedding, and I only got to help because her assistant dropped out last minute. (sidenote: also thank you to Katie Mosley for giving Erin my name!) I was completely unqualified, but Erin was patient with me and taught me so much. These are just a few of the non-contract-breaking detail shots that I took, but please do yourself a favor and check out the rest on Erin’s website &/or facebook page.

This is my favorite shot from the wedding I helped Jeff with, back in June.

Isn’t she lovely?

second shooting

Just in case you thought I was slacking off, I thought I’d drop in and tell you that I have helped shoot two weddings in as many weeks and have actually been quite the busy little bee. A Very Big Thank You to Jeffrey Loucks, for whom I second shot this^ wedding. Also to Erin Thacker, the other photographer I helped, who is a deep well of patience and instruction, and to Katie Mosley for thinking I was ready for such a task. I may post some pictures later, but Jeff and Erin get first dibs on everything!
